Hurricane Florence hit North Carolina on September 13, 2018 causing massive damage through flooding and high winds. Many people were displaced from their homes and had no where to go. Many others lost all the contents from their homes and had to start over. Carteret Warriors for Recovery started out of a desire to assist these people by collecting and redistributing furniture, linens, and housewares. In the fall of 2023, CW4R expanded our mission to further assist people throughout Eastern North Carolina recovering from natural disasters, illness and unforeseen emergencies. Our efforts focus on household replenishment, basic human needs and Education and Outreach Opportunities.
